Operations and Maintenance Technician (Gas Processing)

Location: United States, Michigan, Wayne (Canton); onsite at the Woodland Meadows high-BTU gas processing facility. The role includes an 8-hour weekly shift plus after-hours and weekend callout responsibilities, with possible travel and varied schedules.

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, and control compressors, blowers, pumps, coolers, process vessels, valves, chillers, filters, analyzers, and related plant systems.
• Inspect equipment, diagnose operational issues, implement corrective actions, and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and planned outages with operations and maintenance personnel.
• Prepare plant performance, maintenance, compliance, and incident reports.
• Develop and implement operator training programs and maintain accurate operational records.
• Ensure safe operations and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, hazardous-material requirements, and safety standards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of equipment operations experience using mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or control-system skills.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Valid United States driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of AC/DC electricity, arc-flash hazards, and basic electrical and electronic testing equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, email, and data entry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and support on-call or varied schedule requirements.

Nice to have

• Mechanical maintenance experience with blowers, compressors, and related equipment.
• Gas processing or similar systems experience.
• Knowledge of PLCs, electrical power equipment, and gas plant operations.
• Experience supervising operations and maintenance personnel, planning outages, and developing work schedules.
