Operations Manager (Facilities & Events): Leading Dean’s Office administration, Faculty operations, facilities services, safety programs, and high-profile events with an accent on operational planning, workplace safety, space management, and service delivery. Focus on coordinating renovations, emergency management, executive functions, event logistics, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Faculty.

Location: hirify.global Vancouver Campus, Vancouver, BC, Canada

Salary: $6,143.67–$8,830.25 CAD per month

What you will do

  • Lead Dean’s Office administration, workplace practices, procurement, vendor relationships, office resources, and service standards.
  • Plan and oversee faculty-wide facilities operations, including space planning, renovations, maintenance, relocations, asset management, building access, and workplace services.
  • Lead operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives, defining scope, allocating resources, and overseeing implementation.
  • Coordinate safety, security, emergency management, and building operations programs with university partners, contractors, and Campus Security.
  • Plan and deliver conferences, ceremonies, retreats, executive functions, and other faculty-wide events, including budgets, contracts, logistics, travel, and technical services.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and community-building initiatives.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and at least two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience or demonstrated leadership in operations, facilities management, workplace safety, and administrative services.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, emergency management, facilities operations, and building access systems.
  • Experience with renovation, space planning, operational improvement projects, executive operations, travel coordination, or high-profile events.
  • Strong project management, analytical, organizational, communication, judgment, confidentiality, and relationship-building skills.
