Director of Professional Services

Location: On-site in Chicago, Illinois, United States

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 annually, including base salary and a portion of variable compensation tied to company and individual performance.

What you will do

• Lead project managers, implementation analysts, consultants, and other professional services specialists delivering customer implementations.
• Own delivery predictability, portfolio profitability, forecast accuracy, utilization, margin, revenue recognition timing, and go-live performance.
• Establish delivery standards, improve project methodology, manage escalations, and develop risk response strategies.
• Drive AI-first use of tooling across scoping, configuration, testing, documentation, reporting, and knowledge capture.
• Partner with Product Management and Engineering to convert implementation friction and delivery data into roadmap priorities, product requests, and custom solutions.
• Act as executive sponsor for customer projects, travel to customer sites, and build strong customer and cross-functional relationships.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience leading professional services delivery teams in a SaaS environment, including direct P&L ownership.
• Demonstrated ability to drive AI adoption across implementation, configuration, documentation, and reporting workflows.
• Experience influencing product roadmaps with delivery data and coordinating configured or custom solutions with engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, systems-thinking, process analysis, risk management, escalation handling, and executive communication skills.
• Experience building high-performing teams, coaching employees, and managing performance directly.
• Must work on-site in Chicago, Illinois.

• Experience with government processes, protocols, and public-sector software use cases.
• Familiarity with software development practices and release cycles.
• Experience defining the boundary between product capabilities and services delivery in a growing SaaS organization.
