Manager, Technical Deployment (Financial Services)

Location: New York City, NY, United States. Hybrid policy: staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office attendance. Travel to customer sites is expected 25–50% of the time.

Annual salary: $240,000–$450,000 USD.

What you will do

• Hire, develop, and retain Technical Deployment Leads supporting Financial Services engagements.
• Manage the engagement portfolio, review delivery quality, and intervene when projects are at risk.
• Own executive customer relationships, steering committees, staffing decisions, and customer outcomes.
• Lead the most complex engagements from delivery planning through production deployment.
• Set standards for statements of work, MVP scoping, value measurement, and impact reporting.
• Create reusable solution patterns, evaluation frameworks, and technical playbooks while bringing field insights to Product and Research.

Requirements

• 8+ years leading enterprise AI/ML delivery and at least 3 years managing people responsible for delivery outcomes.
• Experience building and leading technical delivery teams, preferably embedded or forward-deployed teams working at client sites.
• Production experience delivering AI, ML, or LLM-based agentic solutions.
• Deep Financial Services experience with banks, insurers, or asset managers, including model risk, security, and compliance considerations.
• Ability to evaluate architecture and technical trade-offs, including whether agent designs are realistic.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience founding or building a team, practice, or function from an early stage.
• Experience with value-based scoping, TCO/ROI quantification, and post-deployment impact measurement.
• Experience with forward-deployed teams working directly at customer sites.
