Software Engineering Intern (AI)

Location: Omaha, NE, United States; full-time onsite work at the hirify.global HQ is required for the full summer

Compensation: $28 per hour

hirify.global provides a residential construction management platform for contractors to manage financials, schedules, team workflows, and client relationships.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting the platform.
• Build and improve features that help customers manage construction projects.
• Partner with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and QA from feature concept through release.
• Write clean, documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with mentorship from senior engineers.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and complete sprint assignments on schedule.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Available to work onsite at the Omaha headquarters for the full summer.
• Familiarity with C#/.NET, Java, and React.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot, or strong interest in learning them.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, learn quickly, and apply feedback.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
