Software Engineering Intern (Java/JavaScript)

Location: Northbrook, Illinois; onsite at a Chicagoland corporate office

Salary: $23.25–$33.75 hourly

What you will do

• Develop and implement features for business and e-commerce applications.
• Design, code, test, deploy, and support software solutions.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve software defects and production issues.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices.
• Develop unit tests and support automated testing efforts.
• Analyze business requirements, contribute to solution design, improve applications, and write technical documentation.

Requirements

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Experience with Java and/or JavaScript through coursework, projects, or internships.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and software design concepts.
• Exposure to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Next.js, plus familiarity with databases and SQL.
• Experience with Git or another version control system, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Unrestricted permanent U.S. work authorization is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, Maven, Selenium, Jasmine, or Karma.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
