Location: On-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States
Annual salary range: $60,450–$85,340 USD for an hourly role

What you will do
- Perform material and failure analysis supporting silicon process development and high-volume manufacturing.
- Prepare and analyze wafer- and unit-level samples using micro-cleaving, ion milling, mechanical polishing, SEM/EDX, dual-beam FIB, and TEM techniques.
- Collect data and characterize thin-film material structures and properties using laboratory equipment.
- Identify physical failure modes and support root-cause analysis for process, performance, and reliability issues.
- Develop improved analytical tools, techniques, and best-known methods while supporting new process and product ramps.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and collaborate with technology development, manufacturing, process, quality, and reliability teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in materials science or a STEM field related to semiconductor manufacturing, plus 2+ years of hands-on laboratory or manufacturing experience; or an associate degree in a relevant STEM field plus 4+ years of experience.
- Hands-on laboratory or manufacturing experience in semiconductor environments.
- Experience with laboratory techniques and materials characterization.
- This position requires on-site work in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States.

Nice to have
- 5+ years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing or laboratory facility.
- Experience with AFM, XRF, XRD/XRR, TXRF, XPS, SIMS/TOFSIMS, electron spectroscopy and imaging, SEM/TEM/EDX, or FIB techniques.
