Intern - Engineering, Commercial Operations

Location: Taylor, TX, United States; on-site attendance required at least 2 days per week

What you will do

• Support commercial operations for the Texas wholesale electricity market.
• Work on assignments and projects addressing real electric-industry challenges.
• Contribute to market analysis, market validation, congestion revenue rights, wholesale market operations, or market intelligence and strategy.
• Collaborate with hirify.global employees in a technical, fast-paced professional environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer and Electrical Engineering, or Economics-focused engineering.
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Be available for a full-time internship from the beginning of June through the second week of August 2027.
• Attend the Taylor, TX location at least 2 days per week, or more as required by business needs.

Nice to have

• Experience building software with C#, Java, or Python.
• Familiarity with SQL database querying.
• Experience with power systems analysis.
