Intern - Engineering, System Planning & Weatherization (Power Systems)

Location: Taylor, Texas, United States; on-site at least 2 days per week

What you will do

• Support planning model administration and operations model administration.
• Contribute to reliability assessment modeling and regional planning.
• Assist with economic analysis and long-term studies.
• Support large-load batch studies, transmission planning, and comprehensive transmission planning.
• Work on technical assignments and projects addressing real challenges in the electric industry.

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably focused on Power Systems, or in Computer and Electrical Engineering.
• Enrolled in an academic bachelor's or postgraduate degree program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Preferred coding experience in C#, Java, or Python.
• Preferred familiarity with SQL database queries and power systems analysis.
• Available to work on-site in Taylor, Texas at least 2 days per week, or more as required by business needs.
