Electrical Engineer III/Senior/Staff (Project Execution-Power Innovation)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; hybrid work is available for most office roles. Travel of up to 50% is required.

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks for pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.
• Integrate automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage technologies to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Develop safety-focused solutions involving arc flash mitigation, fault detection, and risk reduction.
• Prepare and review electrical designs, system layouts, and schematics for new construction and system upgrades.
• Manage engineering projects from concept through execution, including scope, schedule, budget, and business objectives.
• Collaborate with operations, project management, and external partners while mentoring junior engineers at Senior and Staff levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Five years of engineering experience for level III, eight years for Senior, or twelve to fifteen years for Staff in natural gas, data centers, or a related industry.
• Strong commitment to safety and experience applying safety principles in engineering design and execution.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC, NEMA, IEEE, and API.
• Experience reviewing and improving arc flash studies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general engineering tools.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with PLC and HMI systems, instrumentation design, project management methodologies, or FEED, Pre-FEED, and EPC environments.
