HVAC Maintenance Technician (Industrial HVAC)

Location: Bay Street, Texas City, Texas, United States; onsite at the Texas City Acetyls site

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA operates an industrial acetyls manufacturing site.

What you will do

• Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including compressors, chillers, pumps, ductwork, motors, valves, refrigerant circuits, and controls.
• Support plant building climate control, process ventilation, control rooms, MCC rooms, analyzer shelters, and other safety-critical areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance, leak testing, refrigerant lifecycle tracking, equipment documentation, and reliability improvements.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns through a 24/7 on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
• Support plant startups, shutdowns, outages, turnarounds, maintenance planning, and HVAC-related capital or expense projects.
• Follow permit-to-work, lockout/tagout, confined-space, task-risk-assessment, MOC, emergency-response, and incident-investigation procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical or trade credential is preferred.
• At least 5 years of HVAC maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification is required.
• Experience troubleshooting compressors, chillers, pumps, ductwork, refrigerant systems, motors, starters, controls, and electrical issues.
• Experience with mechanical assembly or installation, HVAC controls, refrigerant leak detection, and maintenance management systems such as SAP PM.
• Strong safety, environmental-compliance, communication, organization, and emergency-response skills.
