Sr PM - Major Construction

Location: Rochester, New York, United States; Work type: Office

Salary: $116,640–$145,800 per year, dependent on experience and location.

What you will do

• Coordinate the NY TLD/BES program across integrated NYSEG projects.
• Lead cross-functional teams of project managers, engineers, construction managers, and internal and external personnel.
• Manage large greenfield and brownfield substation and transmission line projects against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and engineering standards.
• Identify project interdependencies, control scope, manage risks, and apply course corrections.
• Develop procurement strategies for materials, labor, and services and support process improvement and automation.
• Prepare executive and regulatory briefings, support permitting and public proceedings, and ensure compliance with FERC, NERC, and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business management.
• More than 5 years of relevant project management experience.
• PMP certification, or the ability to obtain it within 1.5 years of joining.
• Experience leading large teams and implementing complex initiatives or projects.
• Experience with utility operations, stakeholders, customer interaction, business cases, benefits capture, and strategic objectives.
• Knowledge of substation projects, regulatory environments, quality assurance, project controls, risk mitigation, and technical team leadership.
