Sr Project Mgr (Energy & Construction)

Location: Holtsville, New York, United States; permanent work location at a regional operations office, with temporary assignments to project sites and travel to project locations.

Salary: USD $165,000–$185,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead all phases of large projects exceeding US$100 million or multiple projects with significant scope, complexity, or commercial terms.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, project forecasting, P&L accountability, cash flow, and financial and technical performance.
• Direct vendor and contractor selection, delivery, execution, and site personnel when assigned to project sites.
• Manage client relationships, communications, meetings, project resources, risks, and changes to protect commercial outcomes.
• Coordinate with Construction, Project Controls, Supply Chain, HR, HSE, Finance, and other company functions.
• Develop direct reports, maintain a succession plan, lead lessons learned, and contribute operational input to commercial and business development activities.

Requirements

• 20+ years since obtaining a first degree and 15+ years of relevant experience in project engineering, construction management, or project controls.
• At least 3 years of project site engineering or construction management experience.
• Professional degree, preferably in Engineering or a related Bachelor of Science program.
• Broad knowledge of construction methods and equipment, engineering processes, and fabrication capabilities.
• Familiarity with estimating, supply chain, project controls, commercial contracts, and contract negotiation strategies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiating, communication, presentation, and business partnering skills.

• Experience in the energy and construction industry.
• Knowledge of CB&I products and markets.
