Dispatcher (Automotive)

What you will do

• Dispatch sub-haulers for vehicle pickup and delivery within company timelines.
• Make outbound calls to pickup locations and sellers, answer phone calls, and provide customer service.
• Verify sub-hauler requirements, educate vendors on company policies, and manage vendor relationships.
• Solicit business and select cost-effective vendors aligned with budget objectives.
• Maintain and archive documents, monitor incoming faxed documents, print reports and checks, and collect payments on member deliveries.
• Follow safety requirements and enforce applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Two years of dispatch experience and one year of customer service experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to operate office equipment.
• Typing speed of 45 words per minute, basic ten-key and math skills, and the ability to read maps and understand the local geographical area.
• Ability to multitask, work with minimal supervision, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
• Occasional overtime may be required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
