Financial Reporting Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, with three days in the office each week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States and be currently authorized to work there full-time.

Salary: $75,000–$87,000 base compensation annually, plus a variable component.

What you will do

• Execute monthly accounting close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis for debt, equity, revenue, and other corporate areas.
• Support SEC reporting through Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, disclosure checklists, financial statement tie-outs, and internal management reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and interim reviews.
• Analyze financial data and collaborate with internal teams to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Improve and automate accounting and reporting processes, including the use of AI tools, and support implementation projects.
• Create process documentation, accounting policies, and schedules for journal entries and analysis while maintaining financial controls.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of public accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Intermediate Excel skills and strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, changing, and fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
• Experience with GAAP research, internal controls, and SOX compliance is preferred.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred.

• Experience with NetSuite, Workiva, and FloQast.
• Proven problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a detail-oriented approach.
