Revenue Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Austin, TX; hybrid work opportunities. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Employment visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.

What you will do

• Review customer contracts and master agreements for revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Set up and maintain billing and revenue schedules in the accounting system.
• Use advanced Excel models to analyze contract terms and validate billing schedules.
• Record contract data and document key accounting decisions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Legal, and Finance on contract structures and policy compliance.
• Reconcile revenue and billing data, investigate discrepancies, and support reporting, forecasting, audits, internal controls, and SOX compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 5 years of related experience, an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and its application to complex customer contracts.
• Proficiency in Excel, including large datasets, formulas, and pivot tables.
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems; NetSuite experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Fluent written and oral English and authorization to work for any U.S. employer are required.
