Accounting

Location: On-site in Arlington, Virginia; New York candidates may support the New York office. U.S. citizenship required; no active security clearance required.

Base salary: $110,000–$136,000 per year. Estimated total compensation: $135,000–$170,000 per year, including target bonus and estimated equity value.

What you will do

• Own annual and day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
• Build accurate, efficient, and scalable financial workflows for a high-growth software company.
• Prepare the organization for future audits and manage relationships with tax, bookkeeping, vendor, government, and audit partners.
• Implement and optimize ERP, spend-management, payroll, and other financial systems.
• Develop expense and procurement policies and build trusted relationships across the organization.
• Support special projects including real estate planning, variable compensation analysis, cash management, contracting, Legal, HR, and Office workflows.

Requirements

• 2–6 years of experience, including Big 4 or equivalent audit experience and/or accounting experience at a high-growth technology startup.
• Experience implementing and managing modern financial systems, including ERP, spend-management, or payroll platforms.
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize speed and operational impact in an unstructured startup environment.
• Self-directed approach to identifying gaps, improving processes, and adopting new AI workflow and productivity tools.
• U.S. citizenship is required; an active security clearance is not required.

Nice to have

• Current or former CPA credential.
• Experience with DCAA compliance and government contracts.
• Background in defense technology or cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with Campfire and Ramp.
• Nano Banana image generation ability.
