Staff Software Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: Seattle, WA, United States

Salary: $129,500–$214,000 base pay per year, plus potential performance-based bonus and restricted stock unit awards.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain production-grade AI agents using Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangGraph, and similar platforms.
• Integrate agents with hirify.global’s HCM platform and enterprise systems through APIs, tools, MCP servers, function calling, skills, and plugins.
• Define technical strategy and architecture for agentic AI initiatives, including multi-agent coordination, task delegation, and communication protocols.
• Lead cross-functional delivery of large-scale agent-powered projects and communicate complex architectures to non-technical stakeholders.
• Own service health, observability, lifecycle management, performance, cost monitoring, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
• Establish agent evaluation, prompt validation, tool validation, workflow, and adversarial testing practices while mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years building production agentic AI systems or LLM-powered applications.
• Deep expertise in one or more of Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks such as Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangChain, or LangGraph, plus multi-agent systems and tool-use architectures.
• Experience with scalable software architecture, DevOps, enterprise APIs, REST, MCP, cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS, and GitHub.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, observability, telemetry, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
