Software Engineer II – Fullstack (Java & React)

Location: Hybrid role in Shakopee, Minnesota, United States, requiring three days per week in the office at the headquarters. Candidates must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. No relocation.

Salary: $100,781–$147,813 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive plan.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, document, and deploy smart card personalization software for physical and digital credit cards.
• Build new product features supporting current market needs, including EMV adoption of AES standards.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Participate in requirements reviews, code reviews, unit testing, documentation, and system optimization.
• Collaborate with product and engineering groups to evolve the architecture and technology stack.
• Apply secure development lifecycle practices, threat modeling, and web application security assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent technology discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience developing business applications with Java, Spring, and React.
• Experience working on multi-person teams and projects, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Unrestricted authorization to work lawfully in the United States is required.
• Knowledge of secure development practices, security standards, vulnerabilities, and web application security.

Nice to have

• Cryptographic programming experience, including PKCS#11, symmetric and asymmetric encryption, padding schemes, and key management.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL, Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Jenkins, REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON.
• Experience with AI integration into the software development lifecycle, multithreaded development, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with EMV specifications, agile methodologies, and low-level security protocols.
• Experience with C#, C, or Python.
