Civil Engineer

Location: Virginia, Minnesota; candidates must reside in the area or be open to relocating there. In-office collaboration and travel for meetings, client consultations, and site visits are required.

Salary: $65,000–$73,000 per year, based on skill set and experience.

What you will do

• Support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation, municipal, and site development projects.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop designs for roadways, trails, sidewalks, utility systems, and site improvements.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, quantity calculations, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform site visits, field reviews, and construction observation activities.
• Manage assigned project tasks and communicate progress to project teams and supervisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• EIT certification or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
• Ability to collaborate in-office and travel as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil engineering, design, or construction.
• Experience preparing construction plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and topographic maps.
• Experience coordinating with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
