Civil Designer I (AutoCAD Civil 3D)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States

Salary: $62,000–$77,800 annually, with potential additional compensation through commission or an incentive program.

What you will do

• Work with civil engineers, architects, development, construction, and consultants to prepare coordination and construction documentation.
• Assist with site design and plan preparation covering site layouts, grading, stormwater management, erosion control, and utilities.
• Create complete site document sets aligned with project goals, milestones, and schedules.
• Gather site data, analyze site constraints, and support zoning code and agency requirement reviews.
• Perform basic CAD drafting and engineering calculations while solving routine design problems.
• Participate in site design, consultant, and project team meetings.

Requirements

• Mathematics background and a solid understanding of engineering principles, including hydrology and grading.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Employment eligibility to work in the United States must be verified.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least two years of similar experience.
• Fundamentals of Engineering exam (EIT) passed in the state of employment.
• LEED AP designation.
