Location: Madison, WI, USA; must reside within a commutable distance to the Madison laboratory

hirify.global Food Chemistry Madison operates an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory specializing in food chemistry testing for infant formula, sole-source nutrition products, hemp and CBD, dietary supplements, and botanicals.

What you will do

  • Supervise scientific and operational staff working on method development, validation projects, and sample analysis.
  • Schedule staff, assign resources, and coordinate laboratory equipment and space needs.
  • Review analytical data, prepare technical client reports, and support data management and table generation.
  • Develop training plans, recruit staff, evaluate performance, and handle other human resources responsibilities.
  • Develop expertise in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex laboratory equipment and software.
  • Identify process improvements and implement action plans while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Science or an equivalent degree; relevant experience may substitute for education.
  • At least 2 years of related experience and 1 year of leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of regulatory agency guidelines and laboratory operations.
  • Understanding of laboratory technology, computers, and software systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to learn, think critically, and solve problems efficiently.
  • Must reside within a commutable distance to the Madison, WI laboratory.
