Assistant Scientist (Analytical Chemistry)

What you will do

• Apply analytical methods to investigate test substances in laboratory test systems.
• Perform laboratory procedures including solution preparation, sample processing, homogenization, microbial analysis, pH measurement, combustion, and liquid scintillation counting.
• Extract and clean samples from water, soil, crops, and animal tissues using partitioning, solid phase extraction, and QuEChERS techniques.
• Operate and apply chromatographic instrumentation including LC-UV, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and GC-MS/MS.
• Perform analytical calculations, review data entry, and verify calculations related to laboratory analyses.
• Document work under applicable SOP and GLP guidelines, maintain raw data binders, and contribute to data summaries and draft reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or a directly related field.
• Laboratory experience is required.
• Strong computer, scientific, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, learn new techniques, manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and follow instructions.
• Indefinite authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
