Junior Recruiter (Cybersecurity)

Location: McLean, Virginia, USA; hybrid with required on-site attendance every Wednesday; local candidates only

Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually

What you will do

• Support full-cycle recruiting from requisition intake through onboarding for technical and corporate positions.
• Source, engage, screen, and present candidates for Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and federal government contract roles.
• Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and stakeholders and maintain accurate candidate records in recruiting systems.
• Review resumes and assess technical experience, certifications, qualifications, and alignment with role requirements.
• Support proposal recruiting, employee referral initiatives, career fairs, networking events, and talent pipeline development.
• Coordinate offer, onboarding, orientation, and security-clearance processing activities with Human Resources and security personnel.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and local availability to work on-site in McLean every Wednesday are required.
• Two or more years of recruiting, talent acquisition, or staffing experience, including sourcing and screening candidates for technical roles.
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and recruiting platforms or Applicant Tracking Systems.
• Foundational knowledge of Information Technology and Cybersecurity recruiting concepts and skill sets.
• Strong organization, communication, interpersonal, resume-review, and candidate-assessment skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and ability to work independently while collaborating with hiring managers and Human Resources.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience with SmartRecruiters or other Applicant Tracking Systems such as Workday Recruiting, iCIMS, Greenhouse, Lever, or Taleo.
• Federal Government contracting, security-clearance, proposal recruiting, capture, or business development experience.
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Cloud Modernization, Enterprise IT Operations, Application Development, or Systems Integration.
