Location: Paterson, New Jersey, USA

Salary: $65,000–$103,000 yearly, based on experience and certification requirements. Additional performance-based pay of up to $7,000 annually may be available.

What you will do

• Create, adapt, internalize, and prepare lesson plans aligned with the academic curriculum.
• Use student data to provide responsive instruction and teach academic skills to mastery.
• Build a supportive learning environment through collaboration with students, families, and colleagues.
• Apply classroom management techniques and maintain clear expectations for students.
• Conduct diagnostic and progress-monitoring assessments, update performance trackers, and adjust instruction.
• Participate in school, departmental, parent, and extracurricular events and meetings.

Requirements

• Track record of success in the classroom and demonstrated student achievement.
• Subject matter expertise and interest in working with students from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
• Collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
• Valid New Jersey teaching certification, or eligibility through the stated GPA and Praxis requirements.
• For degrees conferred after September 2016: GPA of at least 3.0, or GPA of 2.75–3.0 with all required Praxis exams passed with a 10% super-score.
• For degrees conferred before September 2016: GPA of at least 2.75.
