Location: Miami, Florida, USA; projected start date in July 2026

Salary: $55,550–$62,250 per year, commensurate with experience

KIPP Miami is a nonprofit college-preparatory public charter school network serving students across elementary, middle, and high school grades in Greater Miami’s Urban Core.

What you will do

  • Plan and teach rigorous, standards-aligned Geometry courses, including Honors and advanced pathways, according to Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards.
  • Develop instruction covering mathematical reasoning, geometric proofs, coordinate geometry, trigonometry applications, and transformational geometry.
  • Use graphing software, GeoGebra, CAD tools, and design challenges to deliver technology-rich, inquiry-driven, and project-based learning.
  • Develop assessments and performance tasks, analyze student data, provide targeted support, and track mastery.
  • Prepare students for state exams, college-readiness benchmarks, AP, AICE, IB, and Dual Enrollment mathematics pathways.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and families through professional learning communities, alignment work, progress reporting, conferences, and proactive communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • At least two years of full-time high school mathematics teaching experience, including Geometry and advanced mathematics preparation.
  • Valid Florida Educator Certificate or eligibility for Mathematics 6–12 certification under Florida statutes.
  • Strong proficiency with instructional technology, data-driven decision-making, graphing calculators, GeoGebra, Google Workspace, LMS, and assessment platforms.
  • Must complete required CTE coursework and pass relevant state CTE examinations within the first 24 months of employment.
  • Satisfactory background check and fingerprint clearance, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to manage confidential student information.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or Creole.
  • Experience in high-performing school environments with demonstrated student growth and equitable outcomes.
  • Experience integrating CTE content and preparing students for industry certifications.
