Senior Manager, IT Solutions Architecture

Location: Rosemead, California, US; hybrid work with required reporting to an SCE facility, and employees are generally required to work and reside in California. Relocation may apply.

Salary: $206,400–$309,600 per year

What you will do

• Lead and manage Solution, Systems, and Project Architects delivering architecture consultations, designs, recommendations, roadmaps, and impact assessments.
• Develop short- and long-term enterprise architecture strategies, reference architectures, design patterns, standards, and reusable technology platforms.
• Guide secure, reliable, and scalable software and technology solutions in collaboration with infrastructure, UX, engineering, product management, operations, and business teams.
• Direct architectural governance, resource allocation, capacity planning, demand management, and architecture performance metrics.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex architecture analysis and technology trade-offs.
• Communicate architecture decisions and investment recommendations to executives, IT leaders, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience supervising direct reports and/or managing projects, with experience in information technology architecture.
• Experience in software engineering and/or solution architecture; ten or more years is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and executive-level influencing skills.
• Ability to protect confidential customer, medical, proprietary, financial, and cybersecurity information.
• Ability to work and reside in California and report to the Rosemead-area SCE facility under the hybrid work arrangement.
• Successful completion of a Personnel Risk Assessment or background investigation is required before hiring.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science or systems engineering, or an MBA with a technical undergraduate degree.
• TOGAF methodology experience or TOGAF 9 certification.
• Experience in electric utility business areas and regulatory environments.
