operates a manufacturing facility requiring maintenance support for process equipment, plant utilities, and critical-to-quality operations.
What you will do
- Identify and prevent equipment failure points by interpreting operator feedback and machine status indications.
- Maintain, repair, and recommend upgrades for process equipment, including compressors, chillers, boilers, HVAC systems, extruders, heaters, dehumidifiers, and web-handling equipment.
- Inspect, lubricate, align, balance, and troubleshoot rotating equipment.
- Support plant utilities such as steam, compressed air, chilled water, cooling towers, and exhaust systems.
- Assist engineering with equipment design, installation, startup, shutdown, and planned maintenance.
- Participate in root cause analysis, preventive maintenance improvements, on-call support, and training for other maintenance personnel.
Requirements
- 0–5 years of technical support experience in an industrial environment.
- A two-year technical degree in Industrial Systems or a related machine-maintenance field is preferred but may be replaced by professional experience.
- Experience with a computerized maintenance management system for preventive maintenance tracking and corrective requests is preferred.
- Ability to work overtime or non-regular hours for 24/7 operations and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck and aerial lift equipment certifications on site.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Nice to have
- Experience in extrusion, plastics, web handling, or winding.
- Certificates in PLCs, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
- Training or experience in pipefitting, sheet metal fabrication, or welding.
