Analog ASIC Electrical Engineer (Quantum Computing)

Location: Broomfield, Colorado, United States; hybrid work with attendance at the assigned location and remote work up to 2 days per week with approval

What you will do

• Architect and implement ASICs for the Apollo and Lumos quantum computer roadmap with integrated product teams and external partners.
• Design and optimize analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits in advanced CMOS technologies.
• Translate system and quantum computer requirements into circuit architectures, specifications, verification plans, and scalability strategies.
• Integrate ASICs with system architecture, digital design, verification, packaging, and other external subsystems.
• Design layouts and ensure compliance with DRC, LVS, ERC, reliability, and design-for-manufacturing requirements.
• Support block, subsystem, and full-chip verification, silicon bring-up, debugging, prototyping, and risk reduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field is valued.
• At least 5 years of IC design experience and 5 years of transistor-level design and simulation using industry-standard EDA tools.
• At least 3 years of experience specifying, developing, verifying, and testing analog ASIC technologies.
• Experience with analog CMOS circuit design, ASIC architecture, verification, layout, and integration with complex electrical systems.
• Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or worker granted asylum or refugee status.
• Due to national security requirements, candidates must not be nationals of China or Russia unless also U.S. citizens.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-voltage circuits, IC layout, high-density routing, and analog/digital integration including ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, filters, and control loops.
• Experience developing ASIC workflows from requirements through design reviews, tapeout, production, and delivery.
• Experience with cryogenic and ultra-high-vacuum environments, quantum-computing electrical systems, and ion-trap architectures.
• Expertise in ASIC power, performance, and area trade-offs.
