Salary: $143,000–$173,250 per year, plus bonus and equity compensation

What you will do

• Lead and support target validation and mechanism-of-action assay development for Parkinson’s disease research.
• Develop and execute in vitro experiments using cell lines, primary neurons, iPSC-derived neurons, and glial cultures.
• Build biochemical and cell-based assays to investigate disease-relevant mechanisms and validate novel therapeutic targets.
• Collaborate with cellular and molecular biologists, in vivo pharmacologists, medicinal chemists, and other research colleagues across sites.
• Train and guide junior research associates and interns while maintaining rigorous experimental records and laboratory safety standards.
• Contribute to research publications, presentations, grant proposals, conferences, and workshops.

Requirements

• Postdoctoral fellowship plus 2 years of relevant experience, Ph.D. plus 5 years, Master’s degree plus 14 years, or Bachelor’s degree plus 16 years in neuroscience, cell biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or a related discipline.
• High proficiency in cell culture, including primary neurons and glia.
• Proficiency in cell biology, biochemistry, enzymology, and neuroscience techniques, including confocal microscopy, high-content imaging, ELISA, MSD, and enzyme kinetic assays.
• Extensive bench research experience and the ability to independently design, execute, and interpret experiments.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, laboratory-focused environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with iPSC-derived cells and/or complex co-culture model systems.
• Interest in Parkinson’s disease, neurodegenerative biology, and drug discovery.
