Senior Proteomics Scientist (Biotech)

Salary: $90,000–$105,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop proteomic workflows using robotics and automated liquid handlers to increase sample-preparation throughput and depth.
• Apply established and new workflows to tissues, biofluids, cells, and other biological systems.
• Generate proteomic datasets for disease profiling, biomarker discovery, and mechanism of action studies.
• Apply proteomic technologies to innovative therapeutic platforms and cross-functional research projects.
• Assist with instrument troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
• Collaborate with therapeutic-area teams and academic partners.

Requirements

• MS with 3+ years of relevant experience, BS with 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience, or PhD with 0–1 years of postgraduate experience in biochemistry, proteomics, analytical chemistry, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of hands-on proteomics laboratory experience.
• Ability to conduct experiments and analyze data independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational, communication, time-management, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to help maintain laboratory instruments and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Electronic lab notebook and cell culture experience.
• Ultrasensitive proteomics sample preparation for limited tissue samples.
• Targeted proteomics, co-immunoprecipitation, affinity-based protein profiling, or chemoproteomics experience.
• Proteomic dataset analysis and coding experience in R or Python.
• Experience presenting results in small-group meetings or reports.
