Supplier Quality Engineer (Electronics Manufacturing)

Location: Lewiston, Idaho, United States; onsite. US citizenship or a Green Card is required. Travel of up to 25% is expected.

Salary: $97,700–$144,400 annually.

What you will do

• Lead supplier development and qualification processes.
• Identify component failure trends and collaborate with suppliers to improve quality.
• Investigate supplier problems and root causes.
• Evaluate failure analyses and initiate, monitor, and approve supplier corrective actions.
• Provide technical leadership for supplier process improvements.
• Conduct supplier audits covering process capability, SEL requirements, regulatory requirements, ISO 9001, and other ISO standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of experience in quality engineering or a related field.
• Successful experience resolving quality issues in electronic design and manufacturing organizations.
• Strong facilitation, organization, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of quality assurance methods, including root cause analysis, process capability, FMEA, and SPC.
• Knowledge of applicable industry standards.

Nice to have

• Experience in process improvement or data analytics.
• Background in Civil Engineering.
• Experience with metrology and statistical methods.
• Knowledge of probability, reliability, ISO 9001:2015, and design, manufacturing, and service processes.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification.
