Quality Engineer

Location: Lewiston, Idaho, United States; onsite

Salary: $97,700–$144,400 annually

What you will do

• Plan, design, and implement engineering-based tests to monitor product and process quality.
• Collect and analyze data using quantitative methods to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Work with R&D, manufacturing, support teams, and other stakeholders to investigate problems and determine root causes.
• Implement effective corrective solutions that prevent quality issues from recurring.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings, audits, and certification activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, or another technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, process improvement, or data analytics.
• Knowledge of quality tools and process improvement techniques, including FMEA, Six Sigma, PDCA, Lean Manufacturing, control charts, histograms, and Pareto analysis.
• Knowledge of applicable industry standards.
• Strong facilitation, organization, communication, writing, documentation, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with metrology, statistical methods, and statistical control of processes.
• Knowledge of probability and reliability concepts.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and design, manufacturing, and service processes.
