Senior RF Engineer - Wireless Communications

Location: Berlin, CT, United States; hybrid office and field work with travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire

Salary: $129,450–$143,830 annually, plus potential incentive

What you will do

• Provide engineering expertise and resolve technical problems involving complex systems and equipment.
• Design, document, configure, and commission fiber-optic telecommunications infrastructure.
• Conduct engineering studies, system analyses, and non-routine projects with minimal oversight.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, correspondence, sketches, and engineering documentation.
• Plan, schedule, estimate, and monitor engineering work while coordinating with other departments.
• Support substation, distribution, power-system, equipment-failure, and emergency-restoration activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Five to eight years of related engineering experience.
• Experience with engineering design and the ability to independently manage complex projects.
• Knowledge of utility power systems and familiarity with power-related software are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and availability for occasional to significant travel by car.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring immigration-related sponsorship will not be considered.
