Power Systems Technician

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; onsite field work

Salary: $45.25–$63.94 per hour

hirify.global operates an electric power system requiring field engineering, equipment testing, maintenance, and emergency restoration support.

What you will do

• Calibrate and test substation, network, distribution, and communication equipment.
• Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs.
• Carry out technical assignments related to equipment design, construction, operation, inspection, testing, and maintenance.
• Direct and instruct other Power Systems Technicians assisting with assignments.
• Coordinate work with internal departments, consultants, municipalities, manufacturers, customers, and contractors.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and productive work, including proper use and return of tools, equipment, and materials.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is required; no exceptions.
• Accuracy, initiative, judgment, originality, attention to detail, leadership, and planning abilities.
• Ability to coordinate and direct individuals and groups involved in engineering and technical activities.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including corrective vision, normal color perception, hearing, and sense of smell.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain company qualifications to operate required vehicle classes.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring sponsorship to start employment will not be considered.
