Structures Fabricator (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Kent, Washington, United States

Compensation: $32.11–$48.16 per hour for Level 2 or $40.13–$60.17 per hour for Level 3

hirify.global is developing Nova, a fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle designed to support frequent, lower-cost spaceflight.

What you will do

• Operate sheet-metal fabrication equipment, including press brakes and laser-cutting systems.
• Fabricate and assemble sheet-metal and machined components into complex rocket structures.
• Perform deburring, countersinking, riveting, drilling, fitting, cutting, and forming.
• Improve the quality, throughput, tooling, equipment, and documentation used in fabrication.
• Maintain a safe, efficient workspace and stringent quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues and develop manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in metal fabrication, forming, cutting, and fitting, especially welded sheet-metal assemblies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and quality requirements.
• Experience operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts; certification must be obtained if not already held.
• Ability to work second shift and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive movements in tight spaces.
• Must satisfy U.S. ITAR authorization requirements and be able to prove authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience operating a press brake.
• Experience with laser cutting sheet metal or other CNC fabrication equipment.
