Data Visualization Engineer, Lead (AI/ML)

Location: Fort Meade, Maryland, USA; remote work is available, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility possible.

Salary: $112,800–$257,000 annualized USD.

What you will do

• Analyze structured and unstructured data, investigate data quality, and identify relationships across data types.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and execute data transformation stages in Foundry.
• Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations in Foundry, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Oversee the development of algorithms and systems that convert data into objective insights.
• Work with clients, business analysts, and user groups to clarify requirements and address reporting needs.
• Lead and mentor team members while identifying new applications for data science solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data visualization, and data pipeline engineering.
• 4+ years of experience with Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience working in Foundry, including building or maintaining pipelines with Code Repository.
• Knowledge of database-driven application development and design.
• Secret clearance is required, with eligibility for access to classified information.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or computer engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience with analytics and data science techniques, including AI/ML.
• Experience with Department of Defense clients or Army data systems.
• Knowledge of front-end design, data visualization best practices, and military terminology.
• Master’s degree in computer science, data science, computer engineering, or a related field.
