Senior Accountant, Financial Controller (Financial Services)

Location: Southampton, United Kingdom; flexible hybrid working, with the ability to work abroad for up to three weeks per year.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including financial, non-financial, and KPI data.
• Prepare liquidity reports and coordinate financial accounting activities, reconciliations, and control procedures.
• Support local boards and management teams with accurate financial and management information.
• Prepare direct and indirect tax submissions and returns with appointed tax agents.
• Support year-end financial statement close, statutory accounts, external auditors, annual audits, budgets, and forecasts.
• Contribute to wider Finance projects and support the Senior Financial Controller as required.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant with ACCA, ACA, or equivalent certification.
• Commercial or financial services accounting experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Lux GAAP.
• Strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills, along with data analysis capability.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Understanding of GST, corporate tax, and the financial services regulatory environment is advantageous.
