Financial Reporting Accountant - Edinburgh (IFRS/UK GAAP): Preparing statutory accounts, regulatory submissions, and quarterly board reporting for legal entities across EMEA and APAC with an accent on accounting standards, regulatory compliance, and audit coordination. Focus on completing SOX-compliant reconciliations, analyzing financial movements, supporting overseas reporting, and improving controllership processes.
Location: Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Hybrid arrangement with office work required at least four days per week and the option to work from home one day per week.

What you will do
- Prepare annual statutory financial statements for assigned legal entities across EMEA and APAC.
- Manage end-to-end reporting processes, including documentation, audit support, and timely submissions.
- Prepare UK and overseas regulatory and statistical reports and perform analytical reviews.
- Produce quarterly financial board packs, commentary, analysis, and board papers.
- Complete SOX-compliant balance sheet reconciliations and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Collaborate with controllership, company secretarial, finance, audit, and overseas teams on reporting and process improvement projects.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified is preferred; ACA or ACCA part-qualified and MAAT-qualified candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Sound understanding of IFRS, UK GAAP, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Experience preparing financial statements and regulatory submissions.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Good Excel and Word reporting skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement, and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Experience with financial reporting or accounting systems such as Workday or ONESOURCE.
- Familiarity with Copilot, Power Automate, Python, Alteryx, or Power BI.
