TL;DR
Financial Accountant - LDC (IFRS and financial controls): Preparing management accounts, statutory financial statements, reconciliations, regulatory returns, and audit materials for LDC Group entities with an accent on IFRS reporting, control integrity, and financial analysis. Focus on improving finance processes and systems, automating manual work, integrating accounting data, and resolving audit and regulatory reporting requirements.

What you will do
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
- Support IFRS statutory financial statements, year-end reporting, and annual audits for several LDC Group entities.
- Maintain the general ledger, trial balance integrity, and financial control environment in line with LDC and LBG standards.
- Prepare FCA, ONS, VAT, and Group RWA regulatory submissions.
- Improve finance processes, controls, reporting frameworks, and accounting-system integrations, including automation of manual processes.
- Provide financial analysis, ad hoc project support, and guidance to stakeholders across the business.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant; ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred.
- 1–2 years of management reporting and financial reporting experience.
- Strong financial accounting and technical reporting knowledge, with IFRS audited financial statements experience considered an advantage.
- Experience improving finance processes, controls, or systems.
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills, with an interest in automation and continuous improvement.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, commercially aware, and confident communicating with stakeholders in a small, hands-on finance team.
Nice to have
- Experience in private equity, a chartered accounting firm, professional services, financial services, investment management, or a corporate environment.
- Experience preparing audited financial statements under IFRS.
