Team Leader - Fabrication 1st Shift (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead fabrication area team members on the first shift.
• Ensure proper material flow from brake presses and support daily production targets.
• Create, maintain, audit, and improve standard work while monitoring cycle time against takt time.
• Train new employees, transfers, and cross-trained team members; provide coverage for absences and vacations.
• Identify waste and resolve root-cause issues affecting safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and production flow.
• Complete production control charts and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Understanding of standard work, time observations, takt time, bar charts, standard work combination sheets, and spaghetti diagrams.
• Knowledge of Lean, 6S, waste elimination, continuous improvement, and the five key policy deployment measures.
• Training and communication skills, basic computer skills, and TWI training.
• Ability to use the hirify.global Standardized Problem Solving Process; torque certification must be completed with provided training.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Previous leadership experience.
• Additional education in Lean, leadership, or manufacturing.
