Fabrication Team Lead - 2nd Shift

What you will do

• Lead, motivate, assign work to, and counsel employees in the Fabrication Department.
• Monitor and adjust workflow to meet production schedules and make decisions about work priorities and material availability.
• Perform hands-on departmental tasks and lead by example.
• Inspect products and evaluate work quality before products leave the area.
• Track inventory, communicate material shortages, and complete manufacturing paperwork.
• Maintain safe and clean working conditions and interact professionally with customers and customer representatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• At least one year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience performing Fabrication Department tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively and attend work regularly.
• Must not have three or more attendance points within the past 12 months.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform physical movements, lift at least 35 pounds individually, and wear required PPE.

Nice to have

• Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, including value streams, 5S, the Seven General Types of Waste, and project planning.
