Machining Crew Leader - Mid Shift

Location: Thornton, California, United States; onsite, mid shift

Salary: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience

What you will do

• Coordinate the operating cell work area and support services to keep production on schedule and minimize downtime.
• Assist with production scheduling, workload balancing, production reporting, and record maintenance.
• Review machine inspection sheets, address concerns, and maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Verify machine-specific safety training before employees operate equipment and provide ongoing training and safety talks.
• Check materials and finished products for quality and compliance with customer specifications.
• Lead continuous improvement and safety initiatives while communicating with employees and management.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of related experience; 1–3 years preferred.
• Working knowledge of production reporting and production scheduling.
• Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, lumber math, lumber grades, and wood species.
• Understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures preferred.
