Founding Engineer, Growth Enablement (AI)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; hybrid with in-office work required on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Salary: $220,000–$320,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Set the technical direction for Growth Enablement as the founding engineer.
• Design agentic growth systems that monitor performance, diagnose failures, run approved experiments, and learn from results.
• Build acquisition measurement across web and mobile, including click-ID capture, identity matching, conversion APIs, and warehouse attribution.
• Create shared infrastructure for deep links, promotions, referrals, campaign landing pages, fraud controls, and holdout measurement.
• Build audience pipelines that synchronize warehouse-defined cohorts and exclusions with delivery channels.
• Partner with marketing, sales, and partnerships to turn business needs into shipped technical systems.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend expertise in TypeScript/Node, Python, Go, or a similar language.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehouses and event instrumentation.
• Hands-on experience with attribution, marketing technology, deep linking, payment webhooks, or high-scale event pipelines.
• Experience building growth or martech infrastructure, such as referral systems, promotion platforms, lifecycle tooling, or CDPs.
• Experience working with non-engineering partners to turn ambiguous business needs into shipped systems.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement from the Foster City, California office three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience building agents that act on business data with evaluations, permissions, and human controls.
• Experience with Statsig, Iterable, OneLink, Universal Links, App Links, or SKAN.
• Experience carrying attribution through Stripe or Razorpay payment systems.
• Familiarity with privacy and consent handling in marketing data pipelines.
• Regular use of AI agents to plan, implement, test, or review software work.
