Logistics Specialist III (Aerospace)

Location: Colorado Springs, CO; U.S. citizenship required for a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. The role may be performed in an office or hybrid environment and requires travel as needed.

Salary: $26.39–$36.29 per hour

What you will do

• Lead complex logistics projects, including material preparation, documentation, and routing.
• Develop strategic logistics plans that improve operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain records for equipment, components, repair parts, and technical manuals.
• Improve the allocation and organization of logistics storage facilities.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely material delivery.
• Mentor Logistics Specialists I and II while managing high-value logistics activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; a relevant higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of state, federal, and global logistics regulations, including import/export requirements.
• Experience applying inventory and supply chain/logistics principles and using inventory databases.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Expert proficiency with logistics software and tools, including AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
• HazMat training or certification, forklift experience, or a commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience with FedEx, DHL, UPS, or other shipping databases.
• Background in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
