TL;DR
Maintenance Electrician- 1st Shift (Manufacturing): Maintaining and repairing plant machinery, equipment, electrical systems, and facility auxiliaries with an accent on complex electrical installation, PLC control panels, machine-tool repair, and preventative maintenance. Focus on diagnosing equipment malfunctions, aligning and installing industrial machinery, and performing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, welding, and hazardous-waste handling duties.

Location: Marion, North Carolina, United States; onsite, 1st shift

What you will do

  • Install, adjust, repair, dismantle, reassemble, and test plant machinery, equipment, and auxiliaries.
  • Maintain machine tools, lift trucks, bridge cranes, air compressors, powered hand tools, and related equipment.
  • Move, rig, level, align, and secure machinery; install pumps, motors, tanks, ducts, guards, brackets, and other accessories.
  • Cut, bend, and thread pipe; install wiring and cable; perform plumbing, pipe fitting, carpentry, masonry, welding, and brazing as required.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, inspect equipment, diagnose faults, and report or correct malfunctions.
  • Handle satellite hazardous-waste containers and complete required RCRA and emergency coordinator training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Electrical Maintenance Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Basic blueprint reading and math skills, including fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read tape measures, thickness gauges, micrometers, calipers, ohm meters, and amp meters.
  • Ability to lift parts up to 50 lbs independently; heavier parts require a team lift.
  • Ability to perform analytical troubleshooting and complex electrical installation, repair, and assembly, including PLC control panels and wiring.

Nice to have

  • Five or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with pneumatics, hydraulic machine repair, and Total Productive Maintenance.
