Associate, Project Accounting

Salary: $67,000–$87,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage hands-on job cost accounting for multiple construction projects.
• Process subcontractor accounts payable and client invoices.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of project costs, budgets, and financial activity.
• Work closely with project management to provide accounting guidance and support.
• Communicate and resolve accounting issues while enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Monitor projects from a risk management perspective and escalate issues when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2–5 years of construction or project-related accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and exposure to ERP or comparable business software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, organized, disciplined, and able to balance speed with quality.

Nice to have

• Experience with JD Edwards.
• Construction accounting experience.
