What you will do
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and client billing.
- Prepare project invoices with project managers according to contract terms and billing schedules.
- Support payroll processing, time tracking, benefits deductions, and labor cost allocations.
- Maintain general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial statements, budget reports, cash flow analyses, and management summaries.
- Monitor project budgets, support financial reporting, and assist with FAR compliance, audits, and process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of accounting experience.
- Experience with project-based accounting, cost accounting, and multi-phase billing.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Deltek, or similar platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, discretion, and ability to manage concurrent deadlines independently.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis is required.
Nice to have
- Experience in engineering, architecture, construction, professional services, or government contracting.
- Knowledge of FAR overhead compliance and indirect cost rate structures.
- CPA certification or CPA candidacy.
