Customs Associate Manager

What you will do

• Lead the daily workflow of the European Customs & Exports team and ensure compliant, accurate documentation across UK, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Spain, France, the Netherlands, and Poland trade lanes.
• Manage customs vendor spend of €5 million annually and oversee the correct application of approximately €160 million in import taxes, duties, and VAT.
• Coach and mentor customs analysts while resolving complex operational and customs issues.
• Act as the escalation point for logistics bottlenecks and customs disputes with internal and external partners.
• Audit documentation, enforce SOPs and compliance standards, monitor KPIs, and drive corrective actions.
• Support OTM, GTM, and SAP issues, master data management, and cross-functional resolution of technical blockers.

Requirements

• EU work permit required; Orientation Year Visa is not accepted.
• Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in shipping, transportation, warehouse, or logistics operations; CPG or food industry experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of European trade, customs, import/export processes, Incoterms, shipping documentation, and customs regimes.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP, TMS, and WMS systems, SAP preferred, plus EDI transactions and carrier portals.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or Tableau, along with strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with customs regimes such as transit, warehousing, and Inward Processing.
• Background in the CPG or food industry.
