UExcel Training Program, Claims - Starting January 2027 (Insurance)

Location: Addison, Texas, or Montpelier, Vermont; onsite four days per week on Monday through Thursday

Hourly pay range: $20–$34 USD

What you will do

• Review and verify claim submissions, documentation, and policy information.
• Analyze and adjudicate claims using policy provisions, company guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate discrepancies, resolve issues, and determine appropriate claim outcomes.
• Document case details in claims systems and manage a caseload with timely follow-up.
• Communicate with claimants, beneficiaries, agents, and internal partners by phone, email, and mail.
• Identify recurring issues, escalate trends, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, human sciences, health sciences, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, policy interpretation, customer-service, and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail, conflict resolution, business writing, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must work onsite in Addison, Texas, or Montpelier, Vermont four days per week.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Professional experience in claims, financial services, customer service, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of life and annuity products, claims practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Professional designations such as AIC or FLMI, or progress toward completion.
